As Hilton continues its record-breaking growth from 2023, it expects to surpass 300 open hotels in the Caribbean and Latin America region in the next three years.

In 2023 alone, the hotel giant opened just under 20 new hotels and resorts in the region, which added 4,000 hotel rooms to its portfolio. Hilton created 8,500 jobs throughout the region during the past five years, and currently employs 26,000 people across the 225 hotels currently open throughout the Caribbean and Latin America.

Hilton currently has plans for over 100 new hotels, including expanding into seven new countries and territories and introducing the Spark by Hilton and Home2 Suites by Hilton to the region. This year, Hilton will debut new properties in Bermuda and Paraguay.

“I have always loved visiting our teams in the Caribbean and Latin America, and Hilton’s transformation across the region is an incredible example of the power of our hospitality. Over the last decade, we have tripled our presence to 225 hotels in our CALA portfolio,” said Chris Nassetta, president & CEO, Hilton.

“Now, with more than half of our pipeline in the region under construction, we are on track to open our 300th hotel in just a few years,” Nassetta continued. “This expansion is the result of our team’s winning growth strategy and deep knowledge of the market, the vision and confidence of our valued partners, and our team members’ dedication to creating unforgettable stays for all our guests.”

In some countries where Hilton properties have existed for a decade or more, the growth is expected to continue: Argentina opened its first Hilton property, the Hilton Buenos Aires, over twenty years ago, and today offers 10 hotels and will double this number in the years to come.

Mexico, which is the company’s largest market, currently has over 90 Hilton hotels and expects to grow with 30 hotels currently in the development pipeline.
