Never one to rest on its laurels, G Adventures, the small-group adventure tour operator, continues to expand and enhance its product offerings with new travel categories, sailing experiences, and programs for travel advisors.

Its newest travel collection, Geluxe, was launched about a year ago as “premium active” product and includes elevated dining and accommodations, as well as enhanced active elements added to the trip, said G Adventures U.S. Trade Marketing Manager Jenn Stevens.

The operator’s newest travel style is Solo-ish, which is geared exclusively to the ever-growing number of solo travelers, and is designed to create engagement among guests through immersive activities like cooking classes, she said.

National Geographic Partnerships

G Adventures is approaching the 10th anniversary of its partnership with National Geographic, which includes National Geographic Journeys with G Adventures and National Geographic Family Journeys with G Adventures. These programs feature National Geographic experts and focus on meaningful, hands-on educational experiences.

Sailing and Cruise Experiences

Sailing vacations are also experiencing growth, Stevens said. The company is adding five 10-passenger sailing yachts for 2025 Greek islands itineraries. The new custom-built yachts will also ply the waters of the Canary Islands, Croatia and Montenegro, Italy, the Maldives and Thailand. Other options include Antarctica expeditions, Amazon river voyages and Galapagos cruises.

Incentivizing Travel Advisors

G Adventures has always placed a high premium on incentivizing its advisor partners. Its annual G-Normous program will mark its 12th year in 2025. Running through April 30, the program includes a mix of cash prizes (a total of $40,000 with the top prize of $10,000) and trip giveaways.

The annual Change Makers reward program offers advisors in different regions – including 15 from the U.S. – a chance to attend the 2025 GX Summit, including flights to Jordan, the event’s venue. The top 10 sellers per region will secure their spots, with five additional “wildcard” spaces also available for agents. The wildcard challenges for 2025 include fundraising for G Adventures’ non-profit partner, Planeterra, and completing G-Learning training modules.

Focus on Community Tourism

The summit brings advisors, media suppliers and travelers together to learn more about how community tourism has the power to change people’s lives for the better.

In September 2024, G Adventures held its GX Summit in India, where more than 500 attendees had the chance to learn more about Planeterra-supported social enterprises and hear from influential speakers on how community tourism can shape the future of travel.

In fact, G Adventures considers itself as much a social enterprise as a travel company. The operator designs trips that work toward directly benefiting the people and places it visits.

“We have always believed in the life-changing power of travel, but for that power to exist we need to travel the right way,” the company said. “Since the very beginning, G Adventures’ vision for traveling responsibly has meant giving back as much – if not more – than what you take away.”

G Adventures is believed to be the world’s largest small-group adventure travel company, offering more 750 trips in 100 countries on all seven continents.
