The brush fires in Southern California have left several people dead and burnt homes and local businesses, with several major theme parks in the region forced to alter operations as a result of the wildfires.
Officials from Universal Studios announced that Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal CityWalk were closed on Wednesday and would remain shuttered on Thursday due to “extreme winds and fire conditions.”

In addition, Six Flags Magic Mountain in the Santa Clarita area also closed on Wednesday due to the approaching fires and “high winds.”
The theme park said on X that “all tickets purchased for today will be honored any other regular operating day through December 31, 2025.”

Other theme parks in the area, including Disneyland in Anaheim and Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, have not announced closures or delays due to the fires.
