Hyatt Hotels Corporation will be adding new hotels in thirteen new destinations across Europe, Africa and the Middle East between 2025 and 2028.
The large region, commonly referred to in the hospitality industry as EAME, will experience a growing expansion of hotels across Hyatt’s brands. Hyatt’s newer Inclusive Collection is also expanding from its portfolio in the Caribbean to include all-inclusive resorts in Greece, Spain, Portugal and Bulgaria in recent years and in the years ahead.
New hotels under Hyatt’s leadership and branding will debut for the first time in destinations including Estonia, Iceland, Romania, Cape Verde and Mauritius. Already expected openings include the Park Hyatt Johannesburg, Miraval The Red Sea, Andaz Doha and Andaz Lisbon.
The new openings follow Hyatt’s goal to add 50 new luxury and lifestyle hotels by 2026. Currently, Hyatt boasts over 200 hotels in the EAME region, spread across over 40 countries. It’s tripled its room count from 2017, boasting over 45,000 rooms.
Spain is a key driver for growth: over the past five years alone, Hyatt expanded hotels in Spain from just five to 55, led by its acquisitions of Apple Leisure Group, Standard International and its recent joint venture with Spanish hotel company Grupo Piñero. It expects to open the Thompson Sevilla hotel in 2026.
“Since 2017, we have strategically expanded our global portfolio by nearly 90% to over 1,350 properties. It is inspiring to see the EAME region continue to thoughtfully add hotels in markets that matter most to our guests, World of Hyatt members, customers, owners, and investors,” said Mark Hoplamazian, President and Chief Executive Officer, Hyatt. “Our accelerated expansion is a testament to Hyatt’s strength in luxury, lifestyle, and all-inclusive hospitality. As we continue to deliver on our promise of intentional growth, we are confident in the continued bright future ahead across the EAME region.”
