Marriott International, Inc. is growing its Luxury Group’s portfolio as it looks forward to 2025, with over 30 luxury hotels, residences, lodges and resorts expected to open next year and over 260 luxury properties in development.

Marriott expects a higher shift towards experiential luxury in the next year, spurred on by wealthier younger travelers who favor deep connections and transformative travel experiences with a greater effort towards responsible travel and wellness.

As this sentiment grows, travelers seek out different approaches: private membership clubs, all-inclusives and luxury yachts are changing to offer spaces for like-minded individuals to connect, while safari camps and lodges are offering more transformative travel experiences for those wanting to get in touch with the natural world.

"As global luxury consumers invest more deeply in travel, we are witnessing a profound evolution in what they seek – from discovery of the world to self-discovery," says Tina Edmundson, President of Luxury, Marriott International. "Today's luxury travelers, both established and emerging, aren't just passing through destinations; they are embarking on personal journeys that reveal new dimensions of both place and self. At the Luxury Group by Marriott International, we are embracing this shift by crafting experiences that act as conduits for emotional exploration, bridging nature, culture, and self-discovery in ways that are as enriching as they are unforgettable."

EDITION Hotels will be opening two hotels next year: The Lake Como EDITION, set within a lakeside property dating back to the 1800s, and The Red Sea EDITION, part of Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea Project.

The JW Marriott brand, which opened three hotels and resorts from St. Maarten to Nairobi this year, will celebrate the opening of another three properties: the JW Marriott Kaafu Atoll Island Resort, JW Marriott Crete Resort & Spa and JW Marriott Hotel Tokyo.

Marriott’s Luxury Collection, which comprises independently owned luxury hotels around the world, will open the Casa Brera, a Luxury Collection Hotel in Milan and The Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel in Madrid.

The Ritz-Carlton brand, which has grown significantly in recent years, will welcome its third Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection vessel, Luminara, next summer. It’ll also debut the Ritz-Carlton, Bangkok and Nekajui, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, which is located in Costa Rica.

St. Regis Hotels & Resorts expects to open The St. Regis Aruba Resort and The St. Regis Cap Cana Resort in the Dominican Republic. W Hotels will open the W Punta Cana, an adults-only all-inclusive and the W Florence.
