Airlines are expanding their flight schedules to New Orleans in anticipation of Super Bowl LIX next month.
For the second time in three years, the Kansas City Chiefs will clash with the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFL's championship showdown.
With fans from both cities making plans to cheer their respective teams on in the Big Easy on Sunday, February 9, airlines are adding extra flights to accommodate them.
Here's a look at the expanded offerings available for Super Bowl travel.
Delta Air Lines
Delta announced it will add additional flights and more than 1,300 seats for fans heading to New Orleans from Philadelphia and Kansas City.
Meanwhile, SkyMiles members flying during the game can stream the action onboard through Delta Sync.
From Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), Delta is adding two new nonstop flights to Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) on Friday, February 7 and Saturday, February 8. Following the game, Delta has added two nonstop return flights to PHL departing MSY on Monday, February 10 at 9:15 a.m. and 6 p.m. CT.
Delta will add one nonstop flight from Kansas City International Airport (MCI) to MSY before the game. That flight departs at 3:21 p.m. CT on Friday, February 7. Two return flights will be offered back to MCI from MSY departing Monday, February 10 at 10:46 a.m. and 1:40 p.m. CT.

Frontier Airlines
For travelers seeking ultra-low fares ahead of the Big Game, Frontier Airlines has added a flight from PHL to MSY on Saturday, February 8 departing at 11:55 a.m. ET.
An added return flight will depart MSY for PHL on Monday, February 10 at 3:55 p.m. CT.
"We can’t wait to see our planes packed with midnight green as Philly’s biggest football fans flock to The Big Easy for America’s biggest sporting event of the year," Frontier's vice president of network and operations design Josh Flyr said in a statement.
Frontier also plans to offer additional travel from MSY to PHL on Saturday, February 8, and from PHL to MSY on Monday, February 10, and warned that flights are expected to sell out quickly.
JetBlue
On Sunday, JetBlue announced it will add flights from both Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and from its home at New York City's John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to New Orleans (MSY) for Super Bowl LIX.

JetBlue will offer two extra flights from EWR to MSY on Friday, February 7 and one added flight from JFK to MSY on Friday, February 7, ahead of a second on Saturday, February 8. The carrier is also adding two return flights from MSY to EWR and three return flights from MSY to JFK on Monday, February 10.
Customers traveling during the Big Game can keep up via the airline's seatback entertainment and free unlimited Fly-Fi.
Southwest Airlines
Low-cost carrier Southwest Airlines is also bulking up its flight schedule for Super Bowl LIX, offering seven additional nonstop flights from MCI to MSY (eight total) and five nonstop flights from PHL to MSY on Friday, February 7.
On Saturday, February 8, 2025, Southwest will offer two additional nonstop flights from MCI to MSY (three total) and one nonstop flight from PHL to MSY.

After the confetti has fallen, Southwest will operate 10 additional nonstop flights from New Orleans to Kansas City (11 total) and six nonstop flights from New Orleans to Philadelphia.
Fans flying Southwest during the event can also watch for free using the airline’s Inflight Entertainment Portal.
United Airlines
United Airlines has added 10 direct flights offering more than 1,700 seats between Kansas City, Philadelphia and New Orleans this winter.
The carrier is offering an extra flight from MCI to MSY on Friday, February 7 and another on Saturday, February 8 in addition to two return flights from MSY to MCI on Monday, February 10.
United is also having some fun with the flight numbers, announcing flight 1972 to commemorate the year of the first game played at the Chiefs' Arrowhead Stadium and flight 2639, which spells Andy numerically in a nod to Chiefs head coach Andy Reid.

From PHL, United has added three extra direct flights to MSY departing Thursday, February 6; Friday, February 7 and Saturday, February 8. It will also offer three extra return flights from MSY to PHL on Monday, February 10.
Creative flight numbers from Philadelphia include flight 2017 (the year of the team's last Super Bowl victory), flight 2601 and flight 2203. The latter two numbers celebrate Eagles star players Saquon Barkley (#26), Jalen Hurts (#1), Kelee Ringo (#22) and Nolan Smith Jr. (#3).
