Oftentimes the best part of travel is discovering something completely new.

Whether it's exploring a bucket list destination or uncovering a hidden gem far from the beaten path, there's nothing like the first time.

The United States is full of exciting locales waiting to be explored.

Here are some of the destinations calling out to travelers in 2025.

Hawaii

It's been more than a year since wildfires devastated Maui, including the cultural and historical center of Lahaina, a popular tourist destination.

While visitors should continue to be respectful of the local recovery, tourism officials are sending the message that Hawaii is open for business and the vast majority of those arriving are leaving all smiles.

At least 90 percent of visitors from each target market rated Hawaii as having met or exceeded their expectations based on a recent Visitor Satisfaction and Activity Survey conducted by the Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism.

Working with an experienced travel advisor should eliminate any concerns and ensure your visit to the Islands is a memorable one.

The Palm Beaches, Florida

Travelers in search of a quintessential vacation in 2025 should look no further than the Palm Beaches of South Florida.

This sun-drenched region offers affordable flight options from all over the country and will debut new routes in 2025 as well as a slew of exciting hotel openings and ambitious renovations such as The Vineta Hotel opening in Palm Beach early next year.

Notable events like January's SuperCar Week, Artisans of Wine & Food festival and Boca Raton Centennial make this a trendy destination to kick off 2025.

Visitors can even look forward to new restaurants from modern Japanese at Kasumi to classic American at Ta-boo, a new opening from Michelin-starred chef and Palm Beach County native Thomas Keller that's slated to welcome guests as early as spring 2025.

Bozeman, Montana

A gateway to iconic Yellowstone National Park, Bozeman is a dream destination for adventure seekers and lovers of the great outdoors.

This Rocky Mountain gem oozes small-town charm and natural wonder, drawing visitors from all over to ski, fish, hike and partake in some much-needed slow living.

Bozeman will add to its appeal in 2025 with the opening of the brand-new Field & Stream Bozeman, a modern roadside retreat and the first hotel property from Field & Stream Lodge Co., the hospitality brand of 150-year-old Field & Stream magazine.

Guests will be able to engage with Big Sky Country like never before just one mile from downtown.

Delaware County, New York

For an authentic Upstate New York experience in 2025, head to the Catskills and Delaware County.

Whether day-tripping from New York City or spending a long weekend, this vibrant region is guaranteed to impress with exceptional farmers markets and opportunities for outdoor adventure, from hiking and fly fishing to snowboarding and glamping experiences.

There's also plenty to do for history buffs, art enthusiasts, culture seekers and foodies. The Sidney Historical Museum, Mark’s Good Apples Farm and Wayside Cider are some of the can't-miss sites and attractions for visitors to Delaware County in the new year.

Baltimore, Maryland

A city with an unparalleled history and a unique personality, Baltimore is far more than just the bustling Inner Harbor and a high crime rate as some might have you believe.

Like any city, the country's most populous independent one isn't immune to narratives but this destination is so much more than crab cakes and football. Baltimore does both better than most, of course. Still, visitors can also explore breathtaking museums like the American Visionary Art Museum or check out incredible galleries and murals as they pass through vibrant neighborhoods like Station North.

You don't have to be into sports, history, seafood or even animals—the National Aquarium and Maryland Zoo are two can't-miss attractions, however—to make the most of your stay as Charm City is always in celebration mode.

Festivals and events like AFRAM, which is one of the largest African American festivals on the East Coast, Baltimore Crankie Festival and Maryland Deathfest will ensure visitors are entertained all year long.
