So buckle up, and let’s dive into the top 8 things to do in Colombia!

Explore The Historical City Of Cartagena

No trip to Colombia is complete without a visit to Cartagena. We wandered the charming cobblestone streets and brightly colored colonial-style buildings of Cartagena, a city steeped in history and culture.

The highlight of our trip was when we visited the famous San Felipe de Barajas Castle!

Take A Coffee Tour In The Andes Mountains

Colombia is famous for its coffee! So, we took a tour of a coffee plantation in the Andes Mountains, where we learned about the history and process of growing and harvesting coffee.

We also got to sample some delicious local coffee and buy some to bring home.

Visit The Museo Botero In Bogotá

If you seek culture and history, head to the Museo Botero in Bogotá. Here you can take in the masterpieces of renowned Colombian artist Fernando Botero. The museum houses an impressive collection of Botero’s paintings, sculptures, and works by lesser-known artists.

Go Skiing In The Andes Mountains

Whoever thought of skiing in the Andes Mountains? We hit the slopes and enjoyed a day of skiing in the stunning Andes Mountains.

The mountains offer some of the best skiing in South America, with runs for all skill levels. It provides an excellent break from the lush jungles and busy cities.

Take A Salsa Dancing Class

If you’re looking to spice up your trip to Colombia, you must participate in the dance style that placed Colombia on the international stage: Salsa!

We guarantee you'll have a blast learning the dance and trying out your moves on the dance floor!

Explore The Vibrant Neighborhoods Of Medellín

We highly recommend visiting and taking a tour of the vibrant neighborhoods of Medellín, known for their street art, music, and innovative design.

Medellín is also home to the famous Pablo Escobar Museum. Not only can you explore and enjoy the city’s world-class museums, but there are plenty of parks and gardens to relax in here.

Visit The Lost City

The Lost City (Ciudad Perdida) is an ancient city that the indigenous Tairona people built in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of Colombia. To reach the Lost City, you’ll pass through lush jungle and explore the river valleys and hills of the mountains. It’s a multi-day trek perfect for hikers and outdoor enthusiasts.

The trek is long and challenging, but the views and the experience are definitely worth it. With its stunning scenery, rich history, and cultural significance, we believe the Lost City is a must-visit destination for any traveler looking to immerse themselves in the beauty and mystery of Colombia.

Take A Boat Tour Of The Rosario Islands

Go on a boat tour of the stunning Rosario Islands, located off the coast of Cartagena. The Rosario Islands are a group of 28 coral islands. These islands are known for their pristine beaches, turquoise waters, and lush tropical landscapes. Here you can swim, snorkel, and explore the island’s crystal-clear waters and beautiful beaches.
