RIU Hotels & Resorts redesigned it website and mobile app to bolster the customer experience and its “omnichannel connection” with them, the company said. “RIU upholds its commitment to continue improving the customer experience with intuitive and efficient tools that use advanced technology to help customers plan and enjoy their holiday,” it added.
The website, at www.riu.com, was created through the use “atomic design methodology to give it a visual and intuitive look, with high-resolution images and videos that capture the essence of each of the chain’s destinations, in addition to more attractive and updated informative texts that evoke users’ emotions,” RIU said.
It also includes content on some of the brand’s newer amenities, including the Elite Club service, and RIU Party, enabling users to pinpoint where parties are held at specific resorts.
“Likewise, the RIU Class loyalty channel takes pride of place with a fully revamped section, making it easier for users to log in to and sign up for the program thanks to the addition of Google and Facebook buttons,” RIU said.
Meanwhile, the revamped mobile app, whose appearance mirrors that of the website, provides users with a “convenient and accessible channel to make bookings, manage their stays, receive offers and much more prior to their arrival,” RIU said.
“In short, the new RIU app is the chain’s strategic communication, sales and 360 degree customer relations channel,” RIU said.
