The Los Cabos Tourism Board has gone live with new interactive website designed to paint a vivid portrait of what travelers can expect while vacationing at the destination.
“We envisioned this project not just as a website refresh, but as the creation of a comprehensive digital ecosystem that will allow travelers to discover and interact with Los Cabos in a whole new way,” said Los Cabos Tourism Board Managing Director Rodrigo Esponda.
The creation of the site has been in the making more year, he said, adding that the tourism board is “already looking ahead to our next iteration to ensure we always stay ahead of the curve.”
The site is geared toward a wide swath of travelers, and is designed to sate “the demands of different types of travelers visiting Los Cabos, enhancing the experience for new and returning visitors, while also incorporating the latest technologies available for the travel industry,” he said.
“Our goal was to develop a dynamic platform that allows visitors to discover Los Cabos in a more interactive way,” Esponda added. “We wanted to create an ecosystem with the tools and technology capable of informing and inspiring travelers, while also highlighting our unique experiences through rich imagery and visuals.”

The website provides users with 360-degree tours and viewing interactive maps to create highly customized itineraries based on their specific preferences.
Esponda noted that there are three elements that distinguish new site from its Mexican competitors.
“The first one is the integration of AI into every aspect of the travel experience, which allows users to get personalized recommendations and plan their travel itinerary,” he said.
“Secondly, the interactive elements that are integrated into the ecosystem will allow users to narrow searches based on their interest, creating a truly authentic and personalized experience, which was one of our main priorities.
“And lastly, I believe the ecosystem’s visual innovation truly showcases the beauty of Los Cabos. Our team used drone footage and advance technology to capture amazing videos and stunning imagery looking to inspire travelers and increase engagement with our site.”

As a case in point, the tourism board has witness a 91 percent increase in the clickthrough rate from travelers looking for “things to do” when visiting the destination, Esponda said.
“Users are also spending more time, visiting more sections of the ecosystem, and most importantly, our focus on inclusion and accessibility truly sets us apart ensuring all our travelers can equally enjoy and access the tools and information available to discover Los Cabos in a whole new way.”
In Esponda’s view, the most groundbreaking element of the site is “the integration of AudioEye technology into the ecosystem, which allows travelers to personalize the site according to their needs.”
“Accessibility has been at the core of our vision for Los Cabos and I’m proud that we are able to offer this type of technology to our traveler,” he said.
“For example, travelers with low vision will be able to enlarge the text size of the entire website to improve readability, users with different forms of color blindness will be able to adapt the colors of the website to allow them to perceive more contrasts, or event eliminate animations that may trigger epileptic seizures.”
In the final analysis, Esponda said the site’s “technology combined with the AI integration and interactive tools, creates a truly unique and innovative experience that makes Los Cabos more accessible for everyone.”
