AAA has designated the Grand Velas Boutique Hotel Los Cabos in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico with its prestigious, independently verified Five Diamond Designation, its highest rating, for its luxurious amenities, beautiful location and incredible service.
Grand Velas Boutique Hotel Los Cabos is an adults-only all-inclusive resort located along the biodiverse Sea of Cortez. It offers 79 luxurious suites, a private beach, an infinity pool and excellent dining options, like Cocina de Autor, which is spearheaded by two-starred Michelin chef Sidney Schutte. In January, it launched a $600,000 "Billionaire Buyout" package that ensures a traveler and their group will be able to enjoy exclusive access to the resort without any extra guests.
Additionally, fifteen hotels also joined AAA’s Four Diamonds list, which are recognized for their upscale amenities and fine dining experiences. These include the Andaz Mexico City Condesa, a Concept by Hyatt; Canoe Place Inn & Cottages; two Grand Palladium resorts in Jamaica; the Grand Palladium Kantenah Resort & Spa; Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya Resort & Spa; Hilton La Romana, an All-Inclusive Family Resort; Hyatt Regency Mexico City Insurgentes; Kimpton Virgilio; Sandals Dunn’s River; Suquamish Clearwater Casino Resort; Tabacon Thermal Resort & Spa; The Westin Los Cabos Resort Villas, Baha Point; Umbral, Curio Collection by Hilton; and Volga Hotel.
AAA has designated 140 hotels and resorts as Five Diamond status; there are currently 1,700 Four Diamond designated properties.
