Disney Cruise Line unveiled new details about its fleet expansion that includes four new ships that joining its lineup between 2027 and 2031. The expansion includes three vessels in a completely new ship class and a fourth addition to the existing Wish class.

Disney revealed that the new class vessels, to be built at Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany, will each accommodate 3,000 guests and measure approximately 100,000 gross tons. These ships will be 20 percent larger than the Disney Magic class but smaller than the Dream and Wish classes, enabling access to more global ports and destinations. Deliveries are scheduled for 2029, 2030 and 2031.

Environmental sustainability stands at the forefront of the new ship class design. The vessels will feature streamlined hulls, next-generation power and propulsion systems and energy-efficient operations throughout. They will be equipped with battery systems to support main engines and shore power technology for port visits. The ships can operate on various fuels, including hydrotreated vegetable oil and renewable methanol, while remaining adaptable to future fuel alternatives.

A sister ship to the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny is set for delivery in 2027, this vessel will measure approximately 144,000 gross tons, accommodate 4,000 guests and operate on liquefied natural gas.

Walt Disney Imagineering will design all four ships, though specific names, onboard experiences, itineraries and designs remain in development. This expansion aligns with The Walt Disney Company's 2030 environmental goals while aiming to bring Disney's signature entertainment, dining and service to more families worldwide.
