After more than a
decade, Air
France is reintroducing a direct route between Orlando International
Airport (MCO) and its global hub at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG),
which.
The service is set
to commence operations on May 21, 2025 and is scheduled to run four times
weekly, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, giving passengers in Central
Florida convenient access to the French capital and beyond.
The flights will
be served by Air France’s new flagship aircraft, the Airbus A350-900, known for
its modern design and comfort across three cabin classes: Business, Premium
Economy, and Economy. Passengers can expect the airline’s signature French
flair and quality service, with seating for 34 in Business, 24 in Premium Economy
and 266 in Economy.
As Air France’s
18th U.S. destination and 25th North American destination, Orlando
joins the airline’s growing network on the continent, alongside major cities
like New
York, Los Angeles, Boston, Miami
and Washington,
D.C. Reestablishing this route is a historic move, as it marks Air France’s
return to Orlando after previously ceasing service in 2012. Air France noted
that the support of its partners, Visit Orlando, Experience Kissimmee and
Orlando Economic Partnership, was fundamental for bringing back this route.
In linking the
City Beautiful directly with the City of Light, this connection is expected to
boost both tourism and business travel, as well as expand Orlando’s global
reach through convenient access to Air France’s network of over 170
destinations worldwide. And, through its SkyTeam Alliance, Air France offers
Europeans a broader reach across the Americas thanks to its partnerships with airlines
like Delta
Air Lines and Aeromexico.
“This new route
highlights our commitment to strengthening connections between North America
and France,” Boaz Hulsman, Vice President of Commercial, North America at Air
France-KLM, said in a news
release. “We look forward to providing passengers from Florida a seamless,
direct journey to Paris, or beyond, where they can enjoy the French elegance
and award-winning service that Air France is known for.”
“Our partnership
with Air France reinforces MCO’s dedication to expanding global connectivity
and creating value for our community,” said Kevin J. Thibault, CEO, Greater
Orlando Aviation Authority, which operates Orlando International. “We are
excited to welcome Air France back to Orlando, furthering our city’s appeal as
an international destination and connecting our region with one of Europe’s
most iconic cities.”
