The Caribbean has always been a popular destination for Americans looking for a sunny getaway, but in 2024, the region saw an even bigger increase in visitors.

According to a 2024 ForwardKeys Travel Trend Report, traffic to the Caribbean was up 10 percent compared to last year and up 13 percent compared to 2019. Driven by a strong US dollar, increased airline routes, and attractive resort options, travelers are finding more reasons to visit the Caribbean.

If the trend continues, 2025 will be another record year, and travelers will have several fantastic new properties across the Caribbean to choose from. From a sprawling resort in Aruba to a private villa in Turks and Caicos, here are six properties debuting in the Caribbean region in 2025.

Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino

Set on Aruba’s famous Palm Beach, the Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort and Casino is set to stun guests in 2025 with its $100 million property-wide transformation. The beachfront resort will include updated culinary concepts like the newly refined bar and restaurant, the Shore Club, and a new spacious outdoor lounge and bar.

The hotel will also boast a new tower with 161 high-end accommodations and an adults-only rooftop cub. The resort’s current towers—the Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao towers—are also set to undergo a refresh.

Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Cartagena

Cartagena has had a meteoric rise in popularity over the past few years, and the newest hotel brand to stake its claim on Colombia's Caribbean coast is the Four Seasons. Slated to open in mid-2025, The Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Cartagena is located near Cartagena’s walled city in the Getsemani neighborhood.

The hotel will be spread among several historic restored buildings, including the Cloister of Saint Francis and the 1920s-era Beaux Arts Club Cartagena. Along with 131 rooms, the hotel will also offer 16 private residences. The hotel will also have six food and beverage outposts, a rooftop pool and a spa.

Art Hotel Curaçao

The Art Hotel in Curaçao will open its doors in mid-December 2024, but you can be one of the first to stay in this sleek, adults-only boutique hotel in 2025. Located in the trendy Pietermaai district, the modern property boasts only 30 rooms (each with a private balcony), so you’re guaranteed an intimate stay.

Inside, the rooms are clean and minimalist, and the penthouse units have large living and dining rooms and fully equipped kitchens. Guests get the best of both worlds with a beachside location and easy access to shopping and museums. Onsite amenities include a sparkling infinity pool, gym, art gallery, and Scandinavian Nordic restaurant, The Lemon Tree.

The Reserve at Grace Bay

For travelers looking for a more secluded getaway, Turks and Caicos is an ideal location. For a luxury “home away from home” experience, The Reserve at Grace Bay offers a spacious beachfront villa equipped with a private butler and housekeeper and the option of a private chef. Joining Villas 1 and 2, which are complete, Villa 3 is set to open in March 2025.

The 13,797-square-foot, seven-bedroom, eight-and-a-half-bathroom manse comes equipped with a media room, chef’s kitchen, and a rooftop terrace with stunning views of Grace Bay. Though each villa offers plenty of space to spread out, guests can also enjoy shared amenities like pickleball, volleyball, tennis, padel ball, and basketball courts.

Trobbu Tulum

Another property being added to Tulum’s growing hotel landscape is the Trobbu Tulum. The 10 all-inclusive luxury villas offer guests an elevated stay in the popular Mexican destination. Each three-level, 2,745-square-foot villa will have three bedrooms, three and a half bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and a private pool deck with an infinity pool.

Guests can opt into the all-inclusive daily menu and participate in onsite activities like cooking and mixology demonstrations, wellness classes, and spa services. There’s also a concierge available to arrange yacht rentals, water sport rentals or visits to nearby cenotes.
